I like using photography to tell stories. Stories that appear in a single image or unfold across a series. My photos come from two ways of working. First, by connecting with people, listening to them, and seeing them as they are. This leads to intimate portraits in which I try to show the person honestly. I also enjoy observing from a distance and recording situations. Those become my (street) reports. My style is often dramatic, but there is room for humour and a smile. Images of real people, real stories. That’s what I aim for.
